Fast workflow
Designed to reduce friction with direct upload, quick processing, and one-click export.
Open Video Speed, add your file, then choose the target output and run conversion.
This tool is optimized for video processing and works best with mp4, avi, mov, mkv, webm as inputs.
When processing completes, download the result in mp4, webm, avi and verify quality before sharing.
Video Speed is a privacy-first utility for fast video processing. It helps you move from mp4, avi, mov, mkv, webm to mp4, webm, avi with consistent output quality.
Designed to reduce friction with direct upload, quick processing, and one-click export.
Files are handled in an isolated processing flow with minimal retention and clear user controls.
Outputs are tuned for real use cases across mp4, webm, avi.
A predictable sequence keeps conversion stable across devices and file sizes.
Video Speed accepts mp4, avi, mov, mkv, webm and exports mp4, webm, avi.
The pipeline is designed for privacy-first processing with clear user control over inputs and outputs.
Use high-quality source files, choose the closest matching target format, and avoid repeated reconversion cycles.
Video Speed follows a deterministic conversion flow so results are repeatable and easier to troubleshoot when a file behaves unexpectedly.
Speed up or slow down a video while keeping audio in sync.
All video processing happens on ConvertCraft's dedicated VPS infrastructure. Your source file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed in-memory with timestamp adjustments, and permanently deleted from the server within minutes. No video data is stored, cached, or accessible to third parties.
Video Speed Change uses FFmpeg's setpts filter to multiply presentation timestamps by the inverse of the speed factor, effectively compressing or expanding the time axis. Audio is adjusted using the atempo filter, which applies a phase-vocoder-based time-stretching algorithm to preserve pitch while changing duration. For speeds beyond atempo's 0.5×–2× range, the filter is automatically chained (e.g., 4× uses atempo=2.0,atempo=2.0) to achieve the target multiplier.
Use this tool to create time-lapse effects from long surveillance or nature footage (2×–4× speedup), produce slow-motion analysis of sports or mechanical processes (0.25×–0.5×), or shorten lengthy presentations and tutorials for social media clips (1.5×–2×). Also ideal for matching clip durations in multi-cam edits.
