Fast workflow
Designed to reduce friction with direct upload, quick processing, and one-click export.
Open Video Fade, add your file, then choose the target output and run conversion.
This tool is optimized for video processing and works best with mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm as inputs.
When processing completes, download the result in mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm and verify quality before sharing.
Video Fade is a privacy-first utility for fast video processing. It helps you move from mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm to mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm with consistent output quality.
Designed to reduce friction with direct upload, quick processing, and one-click export.
Files are handled in an isolated processing flow with minimal retention and clear user controls.
Outputs are tuned for real use cases across mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm.
A predictable sequence keeps conversion stable across devices and file sizes.
Video Fade accepts mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm and exports mp4, mov, avi, mkv, webm.
The pipeline is designed for privacy-first processing with clear user control over inputs and outputs.
Use high-quality source files, choose the closest matching target format, and avoid repeated reconversion cycles.
Video Fade follows a deterministic conversion flow so results are repeatable and easier to troubleshoot when a file behaves unexpectedly.
Add a smooth fade-in at the start and fade-out at the end of a video.
All video uploads are processed on secure ConvertCraft servers within encrypted, isolated containers. The fade effect is applied purely computationally during encoding — no video content is stored, cached, or used beyond the processing step. Every original and processed file is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after your session ends.
This tool applies the FFmpeg fade filter to create smooth transitions at the start and end of a video. The fade-in uses type=in with start_time=0 and your specified duration to gradually reveal the video from black. The fade-out uses type=out with start_time=(video_duration - fade_duration) to gradually transition to black. Both fades use an alpha channel transition rather than a colour overlay, producing clean, professional-looking results. The fade duration is configurable from 0.5 to 10 seconds in 0.5-second increments.
Essential for polishing video introductions — a smooth fade-in from black gives content a professional, cinematic feel rather than an abrupt start. Equally important for creating clean endings where the video gracefully fades to black instead of cutting off suddenly. Perfect for social media content, YouTube videos, presentation recordings, and any production where a raw start or end would look amateurish. Also useful for blending between video segments when used in conjunction with trimming.
